I am an extremely competent businessman, director (Fellow of the AICD), manager and administrator with over 30 years of experience gained in many countries (including periods of business residence) and a track record which clearly demonstrates success. I believe I possess sound judgement, superior business acumen, a well developed ability to think strategically and innovatively, a thorough understanding of manufacturing, mining, energy and shipping industries together with very significant experience of international business. In addition, outstanding negotiating capabilities, a thorough understanding of strategic planning and plan execution, an analytical mind with a capacity for detailed and innovative thinking and an ability to understand and communicate complex concepts. Furthermore, through the medium of my various roles I have developed extremely good interpersonal skills enabling me to effectively manage change, conflicting agendas and present positions and negotiate outcomes in a variety of situations between competing interests and cultures. I enjoy mentoring and promoting team and individual development having been fortunate to receive valuable assistance myself during my career.
