A fast-learning and inspirational leader who leads by example Grant headed the teams that turned three companies from a loss to a profit with strong cash flow, turned one from good to great, and has constantly improved business systems, adapting them to changing technology and markets. All of this has been achieved while staying at the forefront of technological developments and recognizing the need to respect the environment.

Grant began auditing with Deloitte as a teenager, qualified early and moved through merchant banking to become a CFO and CEO. From 1990-2000, he was CEO of a building materials mining, manufacturing and distribution business in South Africa where the share price increased tenfold over five years.

From 2001-2004, he was Division CEO within a $5 billion global group. Grant was responsible for a division that manufactured ceiling tiles in five plants across the USA, where he and his team achieved a $21 million turnaround in divisional profitability per annum. From 2005-2015, Grant was CEO and part owner of a niche manufacturer of highly engineered energy saving building products, where they moved from a loss to a strong profit and cash flow. 

Since 2016, Grant has been a Consultant, Mentor and Coach to businesses headquartered in greater Melbourne
