Whitehorse City Council in conjunction with SBMS, is offering business mentoring sessions to support start-up  businesses which are situated within the City of Whitehorse.

This program is open to business intenders and business owners who have been operating for less than 12 months.

Please note this is a three month program and all three sessions must be attended. The session time selected will be the same for each month’s session.

Session 1 – Getting  Started: Is your Business Viable?

Covers all the basic questions – have you chosen the right business for YOU? Can you make a living from this idea? Is the market ready for your idea? What’s the right business structure? What regulations/permits apply to my business?

Session 2 – Planning your business: Business Planning

Starts with understanding self in relation to the business and develops awareness for direction in all aspects of the business .A series of tools and templates will be provided to create realistic goals and a comprehensive action plan for their achievement.

Date : Tuesday 20th June 2023

Session 3 – Understanding my financials:  Ensuring Financial Viability

Covers all aspects of budgeting for a profit, breakeven analysis, pricing, acquiring resources and provides key financial management tools.
