Mark Benham brings over three decades of executive experience in finance, operations, and strategic management across corporate, public, and small business settings. As a Chartered Accountant and former Chief Financial Officer of the Eptec Group, Mark played a pivotal role in transforming a family-owned engineering business into a thriving $120 million enterprise through disciplined financial management, business restructuring, and strategic growth planning.
His career spans leadership positions with Deloitte, IBM Global Services, and senior management roles within NSW Rail entities, where he oversaw large-scale organisational change and established new business divisions in asset management and digital communications systems. Mark’s practical experience in both corporate and small business environments equips him with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by business owners, from managing cash flow and compliance to scaling operations sustainably and ultimately realising value for the business through sale or equity funding.
Drawing on his commercial finance expertise and hands-on involvement in his family’s dance school business for over 25 years, Mark supports small business owners to identify key business drivers, improve profitability, and strengthen financial control. He brings a pragmatic, collaborative approach to mentoring — helping clients translate complex financial issues into clear, actionable steps that build long-term business stability and growth.
