Elizabeth spent 10 years until 2010 as the Victorian Manager of the Australian Institute of Architects. This role allowed her to contribute to the broader built environment sector through a close working relationship with State Government departments and statutory organisations, universities, other industry and professional associations and product suppliers to the architectural industry. In this role Elizabeth co-ordinated and managed member services and liaison, strategy development and implementation, government relations and representation, public affairs and promotion, stakeholder and corporate relations, continuing education programs and events and human resource, financial and asset management.
Prior to this period Elizabeth worked in a number of roles within the health care sector. She was the National Business Development Manager with the Victorian Healthcare Association from 1997 to the end of 2000 and facilitated the development of new business opportunities. From 1993 to 1996 she worked with the Sisters of Charity Health Service as Manager Corporate Support and Company Secretary of the Melbourne Region and Executive Support Manager of St Vincent’s Hospital (Melbourne) Limited.
Elizabeth also spent time as a Major Project Officer with Health Victoria in 1992, developing a Public Health Emergency Management Plan. From 1985 to 1992 she was involved in the conservation and environment sector in human resource management and strategic planning with the State Government Department of Conservation and Environment. Before that, Elizabeth worked in the sport and recreation sector with the National Fitness Council of Victoria and then the Department of Sport and Recreation.
