From February, 1997, until September, 2000, Leah was Finance Manager at Thomson Finance Corporation, a small asset finance brokering firm. At the time it was Esanda's largest referrer and Leah helped the General Manager improve the organisation’s overall systems and performance. Her main responsibilities were managing the full end-to-end accounting process, as developed with the General Manager. She performed a variety of administrative tasks that supported the overall mission of quality performance and service, fostered relationships with employees and assisted them where required. Leah achieved the highest profit for the organisation.

Since September, 2000, Leah has been an accountant at a small public practice firm in Ascot Vale. The boutique firmoffers a range of services for small to medium businesses including preparation of financial statements, tax returns, bookkeeping and business planning. Leah manages a portfolio of clients and her responsibilities include meeting with clients who require services that range from meeting once a week to once a year. She builds relationships by maintaining regular contact with all clients and managing a small team of staff. Several years ago, Leah bought into the business.
