The Victorian Government has unveiled a program to fuel the growth of startups across the state. Delivered through LaunchVic, this initiative focuses on equipping early-stage entrepreneurs and investors with the tools, funding, and networks needed to scale their ventures and boost the local economy.

Key Highlights:

• Investor Education: LaunchVic’s VC Catalyst program, run by the Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship, will train 75 potential investors to unlock vital early-stage capital. This initiative builds on past successes, which have facilitated $15 million in startup investments since 2019.
• Support for Startups: The program emphasizes high-growth sectors such as medtech, climate technology, and women-led businesses, ensuring that Victorian startups have the resources to thrive in competitive markets.
• Economic Impact: By closing funding gaps and fostering innovation, the initiative contributes to job creation, skills development, and Victoria’s transition to a sustainable economy.

This program is part of broader efforts under the Victorian Budget 2024/25, which has allocated $40 million over four years to LaunchVic to grow the state’s startup ecosystem and support ventures at all stages of development.
