David has established a successful career in leading product support, after-sales and technical sales departments in the construction/mining machinery and hydraulic industries primarily based in Oceania, and, more recently, the Middle East. He has a diverse trade-based technical background and has studied a number of engineering and management disciplines. David has an MBA, a Diploma of Mechanical Engineering and a Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training, which have provided him with the know-how to get the job done and achieve favourable economic outcomes.
Over more than 30 years, David has held a broad range of customer-focussed positions within manufacturer and dealership networks. He has strong and proven customer satisfaction leadership skills. David's clear thinking, eye for detail, diplomacy, motivational and negotiation skills, combined with practical experience and tertiary business administration and engineering skills, qualify him for a number of job roles. He has worked and travelled internationally and offers a wealth of first-hand experience in many diverse cross-cultural environments.
David is a director of a number of small companies and now works as a contractor facilitating senior and middle management training to a broad cross section of industry. Before this, he worked as a national after-sales manager with Bakheet Company for Machinery Limited in Saudi Arabia. Overseeing 180 staff of 18 nationalities with a turnover of $US17 million, he was responsible for the profitable operation of all after-sales, parts, service and training throughout the company's seven branches.
As General Manager of Misu Pty Ltd in Victoria, David developed and implemented a business plan, provided technical expertise and oversaw the newly established manufacturing facility. He was also required to establish distributor networks throughout Australia and New Zealand and implement agreements with international partners in Japan and the USA.
David's hands-on after-sales skills, industry knowledge and general experience all help the individuals he coaches achieve their goals. His methods and strategies achieve customer satisfaction while also being cost effective. He is a down-to-earth person with a ‘can do’ attitude that can quickly and efficiently interpret any situation. By employing appropriate cost-effective methods, David gets the job done and does it well. His motivation and commitment stem from setting realistic goals and taking pride in personal achievement.
