A fast-learning and inspirational leader, Grant leads by example in sales, marketing, research, engineering, manufacturing, trading, logistics, finance, IT, legal and HR. He has turned three companies from a loss to a profit with strong cash flow and has constantly improved business systems, adapting them to changing technology and markets. All of this has been achieved while staying at the forefront of technological developments and recognising the need to respect the environment.

Grant began auditing with Deloitte as a teenager, qualified early and moved through merchant banking to become a CFO and Managing Director. From 1990-2000, he was Managing Director of a large international gypsum board and ceiling business in South Africa, where he oversaw major structural change and 550 staff. Grant’s leadership saw the share price increase tenfold over five years.

From 2001-2004, he was Division President – MD in a $5 billion USA division of a $70 billion global group. Grant was responsible for a $150 million division that manufactured ceiling tiles in five plants across the USA. He achieved a $21 million turnaround in divisional profitability and part of a team that saved $70 per annum. From 2005-2015, Grant was President – MD of a niche manufacturer of highly engineered building products, where he moved from a loss to a strong profit and cash flow. Grant personally drove a 400 per cent increase in sales and obtained the company’s single largest order.

Since 2016, Grant has been Interim Managing Director of a new food processing company, where he is responsible for setting up the new company for shareholders.
