Rachel Allan

Rachel is a marketing strategy, communications and digital expert who has run her own business for many years. She has changed and evolved with it, so is well placed to help those embarking on their first venture or hoping to take the next step with her strong marketing knowledge and empathy for business owners. Rachel has also worked extensively with parents juggling business and family responsibilities and has written a book, When Business Meets Baby.

Rachel is an experienced marketing management professional who produces high-quality and results-focussed marketing, strategy and web and social media content. She began her career as a publisher’s assistant in 1995, before joining the Victorian Masters Games as a Project Assistant in 1997 and working as a Marketing Coordinator with a fashion company in 1999.

Rachel held tourism officer and management roles with the Rural City of Ararat from 1999-2002, then travelled and worked in Scotland and Europe for 18 months. After returning, she had short stint as an Event Administrator for Yachting Victoria before working as a Development and Project Manager for a marketing company from2004-2007. Rachel started her own business in 2007.

From 2007-2009, she was also a Support Project Officer for the vicCentral Highlands Area Consultative Committee, and from 2013-2014 she worked as a Digital Marketing Manager for SANDS Australia. Since 2016, Rachel has been Digital Marketing Manager for a farm business.

While running her business, Rachel has facilitated marketing workshops for and mentored many SMEs, not-for-profits and government departments. She has worked as a mentor for the NEIS program, Ballarat Business Centre and more specifically for mothers hoping to run their own businesses.
