Frank’s exposure to small business began in the 1950’s when he started work as an audit clerk with a small firm of chartered accountants In Melbourne, and continued until his retirement from the position of Regional Manager Gippsland of Small Business Victoria in 2000 after 6 years in that position.

In 1963 Frank moved to the Latrobe Valley and in his many years in Gippsland has worked mainly in the retail and services sector of small business, including motor vehicle dealerships, electrical goods sales and service and photo processing (including franchising) He has also been in public practice as an accountant and small business adviser, as well as having had part ownership of three businesses over time.

Since retirement in 2000, Frank has remained active in the small business sector through his involvement with the Small Business Mentoring Service and the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme. He also still looks after a couple of clients of his own.

With his many years of experience Frank has a great understanding of the operations and peculiarities of small business and is able to provide practical and effective advice, or has he says, “sort the wheat from the chaff”.
