How Our Programs Work

You select a Program and Mentor through this website, help is available if needed. Programs are built around a number of meeting sessions, each of about 2 hours, and in between these you undertake agreed planning tasks. Meetings are spaced to fit in with your available time, from a few weeks to a couple of months apart. They are often held at the business premises though this is not a requirement, just helpful to the Mentor to get a picture of the business.

Reports & Action Plans

After each session your Mentor will write a brief Report that will cover the key issues discussed and importantly an Action Plan that you will need to follow up and complete before the next meeting. If you run in to time diffi culties just call your Mentor to reschedule the next meeting.

Number of Sessions

Most of our programs are based on at least 4 sessions. It is our experience that anything less is unlikely to be effective. Throughout the process you can agree to add additional sessions or reduce the original number booked.

Extended Mentoring

Sometimes it can be a helpful if the Mentor becomes involved in your between-sessions work, for instance helping you write a Business Plan or putting together a Budget. Such "Extended Mentoring" is available and is individually designed based on the your needs. It will be estimated depending on how many units of work the Mentor will be involved in, a unit being 2 hours, either working with you or at home on his own. Extended Mentoring can be effective in helping you get a result and usually follows on after a standard program has been completed.
