FAQ
How can mentoring help?
What successes have the SBMS Experienced Business Mentors had?
Our organisation has just celebrated its 21st year and in that time we have mentored in excess of 15,000 businesses. We regularly survey our clients on our performance to ensure that we are offering pertinent programmes and are giving a good service to our clients. But don’t take our word for it, please go to the Testimonials tab to read what some of our customers have said about our help to them and their businesses and some recent survey results.
Are you working IN your business or ON your business?
The majority of small businesses, by their very nature, work IN their business at the exclusion of working ON their business. This is a well used phrase but extremely apt and describes the vast majority of the businesses that we mentor. A Mentor can help you to work ON your business, challenging your perceptions and helping to resolve your issues.
What do the SBMS Experienced Business Mentors offer?
Our Mentors, whom can be seen on Mentor Directory, are business people with years of experience who want to give something back to help small businesses. As we are a not-for-profit organisation we can offer mentoring at an affordable level that is within the reach of most small businesses. We have a number of mentoring programs to choose from, please see Program Directory.
How is a Mentor going to help me?
All small businesses have issues that need to be assessed and decided on. Frequently there is nobody other than those directly in the business with whom to discuss these issues. A Mentor can bring an outside and fresh perspective to the issues and aid in the decision process. They also bring clarity and help you focus on the issues that matter to assist you reaching your potential.
